Terms of service

Last updated 1 September 2026. By creating an account you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.

The short version
Redirect domains you are entitled to control. Pay for the plan you use. Do not point our edge at malware, phishing or anything illegal. We keep the service running and warn you before we change it. Either of us can walk away with 30 days' notice, and your data goes with you.

1. The service

SC OPERACK SYSTEMS SRL, registered in Brașov, Romania (CUI 45662784, Reg. Com. J2022000481081) ("we"), operates a hosted HTTP redirect service at redirectduck.com. We answer requests for hostnames you have pointed at our edge and forward them to destinations you configure, with certificates we issue and renew.

These terms cover the website, the dashboard and the API. Where a signed order form contradicts them, the order form wins for that customer.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. Keep your credentials and API tokens secret; anything done with them counts as done by you. Turn on two-factor authentication, it is free on every plan.

A workspace has one owner. The owner may invite users and assign the admin, editor or viewer role, and is responsible for what those users do. Transfers of ownership are done from workspace settings.

3. Domains you add

You confirm that you own each domain you add, or that you are authorised to manage its DNS. Verification proves control, not ownership, so the responsibility stays with you. If a domain is disputed we may pause it until the dispute is settled.

You are responsible for the destinations you point at, including their content and their own certificates. We do not proxy or cache destination content; we answer with a redirect and the visitor's browser goes on from there.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use RedirectDuck for any of the following. This list is enforced by both automated checks and human review.

Phishing, credential harvesting or impersonating a brand you do not represent.
Distributing malware, or hiding the final destination of a download behind our edge.
Cloaking: showing our redirect to a crawler and a different destination to a visitor.
Link schemes built to manipulate search rankings, or domains acquired only for their backlinks.
Content that is illegal where it is served, including material that exploits minors.
Using the service as an open redirector for traffic you do not control, or reselling raw redirect capacity.

Report abuse to abuse@redirectduck.com. We act on credible reports within one business day.

5. Plans & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added where it applies. An upgrade takes effect immediately and is prorated; a downgrade takes effect at the next renewal.

Cancel any time from billing settings. Service continues until the end of the period you have paid for and we do not refund the unused part of a period, except where consumer law requires it. If a first payment fails we retry for seven days, then move the workspace to Free and pause anything above the Free limits.

The Free plan is offered as-is, without a service commitment, and may be changed or ended with 30 days' notice.

6. Limits & overages

Each plan includes a number of domains, active rules and monthly requests. We do not cut your traffic off at the limit.

Requests
Traffic above the included volume is billed at $0.40 per additional 100,000 requests, measured monthly. We email you at 80% and at 100% of the included amount so nothing arrives as a surprise.
Domains and rules
Adding a domain or rule beyond the plan limit prompts an upgrade. Existing domains keep working; nothing is switched off because you grew.
Sustained abuse of capacity
If a single workspace threatens the edge for everyone else, we may rate-limit it after telling you, and we will work with you on a plan that fits.

7. Availability

We target 99.99% monthly availability of the redirect edge on paid plans. If we miss it, you can claim service credit: 10% of the monthly fee below 99.99%, 25% below 99.5% and 50% below 99%. Claims are made within 30 days of the month in question and credit is applied to the next invoice.

The dashboard, the API and analytics are not covered by the credit. Planned maintenance is announced at least 72 hours ahead on the status page and is excluded from the calculation, as are DNS problems at your provider and events outside our control.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend a single domain, or a whole workspace, if it breaks section 4, if payment stays unpaid after the retry window, or if we are required to by law or by a court. Except for illegal content and active abuse, where we act immediately, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Either side may end the agreement with 30 days' written notice. On termination your redirects stop, your data is exported on request and then deleted as described in the privacy policy. Move your DNS before the end date so visitors do not land on an error.

9. Warranties & liability

The service is provided as described in the documentation and on the plan you bought. Beyond that we give no warranty, express or implied, that it will fit a particular purpose or run uninterrupted.

Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost search ranking or lost data, except where the law does not allow that exclusion. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes & governing law

We may change these terms. Material changes are announced by email and on this page 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance. Every version stays available in the archive.

Romanian law governs this agreement and the courts of Brașov have jurisdiction, without affecting consumer rights in your own country. Questions go to legal@redirectduck.com.
